The Adani Group is at the forefront of India’s transition to renewable energy. To execute their ambitious solar infrastructure projects in Southern India, they required an execution partner capable of managing complex logistics and high-precision installation at scale. Hofincons delivered critical mechanical erection and civil foundation works across three major sites, directly contributing 112 MW to the nation’s green energy grid.
The Challenge: Precision Engineering Across Multiple Sites
Constructing large-scale solar farms requires the synchronization of heavy civil engineering with delicate technical installation. The project demanded simultaneous execution across diverse geographies in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
- Logistical Complexity: The scope involved the end-to-end management of materials, from loading and transporting components from the store to the specific erection sites.
- Technical Rigor: Solar efficiency depends on exact alignment. The installation required strict adherence to technical specifications for 1200mm x 600mm Solar Modules, ensuring every rafter, purlin, and C-channel was aligned exactly as per detailed engineering drawings.
The Hofincons Solution: Integrated Project Execution
Hofincons deployed skilled teams to manage both the “bones” (Civil) and the “brains” (Mechanical) of the solar infrastructure. Our scope covered the full spectrum of site development.
- Mechanical Erection (72 MW): In Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu, we executed the mechanical erection for a massive 72 MW facility. This included the precise fixing of PV modules, mounting structure alignment, and the installation of aluminum clamps, cleats, and fasteners.
- Civil & Structural Works (40 MW): In Karnataka (Hassan and Tumkuru districts), we managed both civil and mechanical scopes for two 20 MW plants. This included critical pile foundation work for module mounting structures, alongside essential infrastructure development like internal roads, drains, and excavation works.
The Outcome: Seamless Capacity Addition
By successfully executing these dual mandates, Hofincons ensured the timely commissioning of critical renewable assets.
- Grid Impact: Our execution directly enabled the addition of 112 MW of clean energy capacity (72 MW in TN and 40 MW in Karnataka).
- Infrastructure Integrity: By delivering robust pile foundations and perfectly aligned mounting structures, we ensured that these solar assets are built to withstand environmental stress and deliver reliable power output for decades.
